In the 1960s Per Borup made a model of a ring inspired by laurels. The model was made in silver, and based on that the series Daphne was made, named after the young naiad Daphne from the Greek mythology.

When Per Borup made the ring, he hand-modelled the 30 laurel leafs in silver, and shaped the top of the ring after them. With this design he was clearly ahead of time – yet the ring has a timeless quality to it as well; as modern today as it was when it was made some 50 years ago.
